Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

Chicago...the city that doesn't let me sleep
I hate big cities, never have been a city girl but Chicago is on the top of my list as cities I hate most to drive through. It's not even that I have to drive, I have a wonderful husband who does 99% of all our driving. He has never been in an accident that was his fault...but all that holds little weight in my mind as we drive and swerve and sit in traffic and have big trucks around us..it terrifies me. As bad as all that sounds it doesn't stop there, at least 3 times after we have drove through Chicago I have dreamed all night about driving through it again. I even wake Mike up in my sleep as I warn him about the truck we are about to run into. It's crazy I know. so instead of driving through Chicago I relive it over and over. This last time Mike had me lay down, I put the night mask on and went to sleep..it helped both of us!

yeah for new blogs! sorry you hate chicago so much.. it makes me laugh a little to picture it though=-) miss you all!
Oh, Carrie. I just read this....it makes me chuckle a bit, though not for your misfortune and anxiety. Just because I grew up in Chicago (area) and because of it....I think sometimes I drive a bit like a city girl...which I know completely surprised John!!! :) Ha. I remember when we were first married, I would lean over and honk someone if they cut us off...while John was driving!!! I don't do that anymore....but I think I do still have it in me. Nonetheless, I am no fan of driving IN the city. I can understand that! :) The mask was a great idea!!!!
