Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

BWM annual meeting
Last Friday we left for MN. We really enjoyed catching up with Mike's former youth pastor C Juvinelle. We were able to spend the weekend with his family of 7. The boys had a lot of fun. Sunday we got to hear a national pastor from India share about the Lord is doing over there. We taught Jr church and then Mike was able to present our burden for the country of NZ in the evening service. We had what I thought was the best question ever asked "If we eat Kiwi's are we considered cannibals?" Never thought of that before. Then we traveled Monday morning (left at 7) to head to Maranatha BBC for our board's annual meeting. We got there right before we had our meeting with 3 members of the board, but I was unable to find the babysitters we had arranged for. This put me in a panic and although I found them and was only 5 min late to the meeting, it made the meeting even more stressful. I cried (but I normally do) as we shared our burdens and talked. It's a good reflection of the year. Although it has been a hard year for us to get meetings we rejoice over the many ministry opportunities we have had this past year. We were able to help in two VBS, fill pulpits, teach Jr churches and chapels, recently Mike was able to go to a school camp, help with Coffee Wars (saw over 20 saved) and will be speaking at a men's conference at our sending church. One evening while at the conference we were able to meet up with vetran NZ missionaries, Bob and Polly McLain and talk with them as well as another couple headed to the field of NZ. One other highlight of the conference was a ladies meeting where we heard 3 missionary ladies give testimony of what the Lord has been teaching them on their fields of service. Wednesday afternoon we left to come back to MI and arrived back in time for bed. We are tired of sitting in the van but I think back to last year and am thankful for a reliable van, safety over the many miles we travel and the opportunities that come our way. I took 2 important things away from the conference. The first, not to forget the obvious..Pray therefor the Lord of the Harvest would Send forth Laborers. Second, that I must be working to persuade men - people are headed to hell, judgment is coming, and God has given us the power to bear precious seed. However if we sow sparingly we will reap sparingly, if we sow bountifully we will reap bountifully.

In that first picture: Abe reminds me so much of Noah! Noah does that same scrunched-face grin! :)
