My main reason in writing this post is to remind you and ask for prayer regarding our upcoming board meeting with Baptist World Mission. We left today to start our long road trip up there. With three kids and 18 hours to drive, we are splitting the trip up into several days. We will stop in Greenville to see two of my sisters who live there, and give them an opportunity to meet Abe. Then we will continue to head North. Lord willing we will arrive at Menominee Falls by Sunday. They have two specific meetings scheduled for us on Monday and one Tuesday, regarding our call, beliefs, finances,and field choice. Monday - Thursday we will meet many other missionary families and have special meetings during the days and evenings. Please pray for strength as this will make long days without full nights rest. We will be staying in one of the church family's homes. We are looking forward to the fellowship and time with others headed to the mission field. Next we will head to MI for the weekend to spend time with Mike's family, they can't wait to meet their newest grandchild. We are also hoping to visit a pumpkin patch, I am looking forward to seeing a beautiful northern fall again...hopefully we won't see any winter weather. Then after a few days we will make our final stop at the farm to see the Brodwater family before we head home again. I still have a lot of packing to do and I believe our interim pastor is staying at our house while we are gone..so I also have some more cleaning to do. I think of you all often and pray for the requests I know of. Please send any requests you have our way and thank you for keeping us in your prayers as well.
Here are some specific requests for you to pray about at this time:
Health and Safety in traveling, good travel with the kids and no difficulties with the van.
Approval from the mission board, wisdom in answering questions
Direction for where to serve in New Zealand
Finances for trip and future living (Praise the Lord for already providing for some of these expenses.)
Good fellowship with missionaries and our families
