It's always encouraging to meet believers in churches you visit or while you are out and about. It's refreshing to have a common bond. It's also really hard to say good-bye to families you've grown close to. This past week we had a few teachers leave to go on to other ministries...and some more will leave later this summer. We had a farewell party last week for Kayla. I am mostly going to miss her hugs and genuine care for how I was doing. Here are some pictures from that night. What is a blessing is that already this week both on Wednesday and Sunday we had new families visiting our church looking at possibly moving into the area. One is looking for a teaching job (and they have a teen daughter) the other is moving close by b/c of his job (they have a teen son and daughter). We have had many visitors lately. We still need many new teachers but it is encouraging to see God already showing us that he will provide for the needs of our ministry.
I was able to talk to my friend from the library again last week about coming to church. I think she might when she returns from vacation. I am praying that she will...I think it really helped that I brought up the subject again and that I offered to sit with her if she comes.
