Church Socials

Well I'm sorry its been so long since I posted, we have been doing things, and I did take pictures...Here's the lowdown from the last week. Last Wednesday we voted in an interim pastor, Marty Masitto. He is such a sweet caring man with a life that walks by God's Word and great challenging sermons. He will not be candidating to become our next senior pastor, but will be helping us in the process of finding one. Sunday after his morning message from Thess, a 5th grader who is staying with her aunt and uncle was under deep conviction. Her aunt brought her to me to explain how she could be saved. I had been in the nursery so I was trying to find out what she was so upset about. She said, the pastor said - If we are not saved we will be thrown into the lake of fire! I explained this was true and we went through the bridge tract, she completely understood and was ready to do it herself. She prayed and was saved! I sent her home with the tract and she said her mom has also gotten saved. How exciting!
Saturday we had a Ladies prayer breakfast here at the house (sorry no pictures). We had sausage gravy and biscuits, hash browns, eggs and juice. I gave a devotional on staying connected from John 15 then we had some prayer time. I was planning to have everyone make a stamped card before they left but I gave them the option of leaving if they needed to and only about 5 ended up staying (which was fine). We had a great morning of fellowship together....and the boys went to the zoo and to get Slurpee's!
Sunday night we had a teen afterglow at Dairy Queen. It has been so good to have so much church fellowship. This weekend we are looking forward to some family fellowship as we have a camping trip planned!
