During my college years at NBBC , my closest friend was Melanie Rowley Harper. As a freshman she took me under her wing, I joined her society, sat with her in chapel and at meals. She has always been a great godly friend always encouraging me in things of the Lord. After we were both married we continued on at NBBC on staff and got to spend more time together. We've seen each other here and there since then but not enough. When we moved here to Jax it was so cool to learn her brother and sister in law were here at this ministry, we have also become fast friends. Melanie and her 3 children were down this weekend visiting them and it was so nice to get to spend some time together. Her second and my first child were born 2 days apart. Tuesday we got to go to the zoo. There was a new baby giraffe, only 2 wks old but already 180 lbs - sooo cute! We and the kids had a lot fun. Then Wednesday night the Rowleys and Harpers all came over and had some more fellowship and a ham dinner. Its hard to say good bye to them but we are scheduled to go to the same week at the Wilds this summer so that is something to look forward to!
Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.
