Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

Big Winter Freeze
Our big winter freeze actually came Thursday morning. I woke up and asked Mike if we left a window open last night? Our heater had stopped working and it was a cold 53 degrees. (Made me think of what it will be like in NZ without heat built in the houses). Anyway me and the boys retreated up to my mom's house to have school and take naps. Mike stayed at the trailer and waited for the repairman. We were thankful it was just a part..not the whole heater, or gas. We were back home by 3. Then Saturday we woke up to LOTS of snow. I tried to open the front door to see how much and could only get it opened a few inches to measure 12 inches. Then it continued to snow the rest of the day. We did venture out after lunch to have fun in the snow (with Uncle Will who made it home from college). It was no good for making snowmen. We were able to do some sledding though after we made a sled run. Church was cancelled. We did go up to my parent's house and Mike still taught his SS lesson to us before dinner. Monday we were able to get back on the roads..thanks to the plow on my dad's tractor. SO after a long day of driving on Monday we made it to MI where we will spend the week. Can you tell how deep that snow is? It was over my and the boys boots!
