Mall of America

From PA we headed to MN for another missions conference. The church there completely spoiled us. We received a gift bag from the church, the teen group gave us a basket of goodies, and after speaking to the 1st and 2nd graders they also gave us a really nice gift. That was such a neat day as they leaned the New Zealand anthem and sang it for us as a very special treat. Mike also got to preach an Elementary chapel and High School chapel while we were there. The one day the youth pastor and his wife took all of us missionaries to the Mall of America. They bought us lunch then took our kids to the middle of the mall, where there are tons of kids amusement rides. We stayed around for a while then they sent us off to go shopping with money. I was able to buy a new winter coat which I needed since my other one was rather old and zipper had stopped working. We found a great deal and I was so excited about this provision as well as the really fun day the boys had.

During the week we got to enjoy many great services and again meeting other believers. We got to go door to door witnessing on Saturday and had a good opportunity to talk to one lady. We also had a teen lunch one day and an international dinner. One other neat thing that happened while we were there was God's provision for housing for us. We had several days before we needed to be in IA. Mike was going to just get us the cheapest rate at a hotel that we could but when the youth pastor's family heard about it they offered their basement to us. Since we had a few extra days we did some fun things with the other missionaries that were at the conference.
