Well Mike has joined me and those of us halfway to 60. We had a birthday party for him last Saturday. We ate dinner at the lake but it was so windy we went indoors for the cake. I made my first ever homemade cheesecake and it came out pretty well. Then yesterday we went down to Dundee, MI where there is a cool hotel with splash water park inside. It was so fun because it catered to a fun family experience. There was even a little pool for Abe and Titus. We spent time going around the lazy river and sliding. The older boys were very brave and tried the big slides. Caleb's favorite was a log jump (made of foam). you jumped one log to the next across the pool. Over top of most of the area was a large bucket and about every 5 minutes it dumped. We didn't learn till after the first dump that there is a warning bell you can listen for. We spend about 6 hours total over the last 2 days and the boys are wondering when we can go back, Caleb knows we will be back in MI for Titus' birthday so he offered that that would be a good thing to do to celebrate. We also went across the street to a huge Cabelas. Mike had no trouble spending some birthday money there. We came back this afternoon stopped by to see Mike's Gdma David. ( I don't think I mentioned on here, she fell Sunday morning and they wouldn't release her back into her home b/c she lives by herself and is to weak to get up by herself so she is a nursing home trying to regain strength) We had a McD lunch with Mike's mom and got back to the house in time for naps and then his parents came over for a lasagna dinner and key lime cheesecake (ready made). Mike preached tonight at Faith too. It was a busy day. I am so thankful for Mike and I look forward to watching him grow even more and being part of his life.
Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.
