Actually the Lord was very good to give us a small reprieve from the rain to enjoy a wonderful time camping. WV has been having rain every day since last week. Mike booked a place to go camping a few weeks before and at this place it costs more to cancel then to go. SO we get up Monday morning and it is raining but if you don't know Mike..we are packing and still going camping. I don't really mind but we were taking my sister and her two girls for their first camping experience (and a tent with holes). Even as we are driving there we notice the water is over soccer fields, cornering cows in little areas b/c the water is up so high. Yeah we were under a flood watch. Well we got their early with my brother Will and set up the tents in light rain and the boys took their naps in one while we played games in the other. My sister showed up and my parents for a hot dog dinner that we did under a pavilion but then the rain stopped and we went back to our site and roasted marshmallows, had Smores, sang songs, and guessed as the kids acted out things for us to guess. It stayed light till 9PM and we didn't have any bugs. It did get a little cool during the night but we slept pretty well (for forgetting the air mattress). Mike made pancakes and sausages for us in the morning and Mom came back and brought hot chocolate. We went and fed some large carp in the lake before packing up the site and then we went Geo-cashing..and the rain began again. We still had a wonderful time though and I'm so glad for these precious memories we made.

Carrie, thank you for the encouragement:) I'm so glad you had a fun time with your sister even camping in the rain. We are looking forward to taking our kids camping this summer although I will be praying for sunny weather.
