Today we returned from a 10 day trip to Fl for a missions conference. This was a special trip because it was the boys first airplane ride. They did great, Abe actually slept the whole time going. The other boys enjoyed everything but mostly sipping sprite and eating pretzels. Everything about this trip was wonderful which is really good for the boys because then they look forward to these opportunities we have to share our burden for NZ with other churches. The church that invited us for their missions conference is a newer church, a plant from a church in land o lakes. There were 4 missionaries at the conference and we enjoyed the fellowship with them. The church people were always very friendly and it was nice to share dinners and times of fellowship with many of them. We took turns each night doing Jr church, our presentation, or the guys preaching. There was a good response from among the people and kids. Also on Saturday we had a missions banquet and the people were able to ask us questions. During the day we were put up at the missions house in Land o Lakes. that in and of itself was really nice as the boys had their own beds and lots of toys that were provided...we enjoyed the games too, bring up past memories of Monster mash, pizza party, mousetrap, and trouble. It also had a King size bed for us and an outdoor porch with a play set for the boys. One day we went across our backyard to enjoy the school's playground. We had our days empty so we enjoyed some family time by going to the Tampa zoo and mini golfing.
Since we were going to be in Tampa Mike decided to call our friends the Lindsays who live in Venice to see if they wouldn't mind having us for a few days. They have a pool and a beach close by which made for a nice couple of days with them. Abe has been a little fussier this week as he is still trying to push out his 2nd tooth. All in all though we had a really good time together as a family. Since we were in the area, Mike also called another Pastor and we were able to do Jr church, give our presentation and Mike did a school chapel in another church.
We were suppose to be in WI at a BWM meeting this coming week but that did not work out for us to go this year with circumstances with the kids so now we are praying for more meetings as the summer months look pretty sparse. I'm so glad God is so great and He is so good to us. What a blessing to be with other Christians. Both at the Lindsays and the church in Port Richey, Titus cried when we had to leave, they had a really good time making new friends and being loved.
