Bahamas!

Mike surprised me this year at Thanksgiving with my early Christmas present/10 yr anniversary gift. We left Pittsburgh early Thursday morning when it was 8 degrees and COLD! We arrived that afternoon with temps around 75. Mike was able to get a great deal at the hotel next to Atlantis with full free access to the things in Atlantis. The first night we just walked around, but it was so nice, we hardly ever get time just to ourselves. And without being interrupted when we were taking was extra nice! The next day we went across the island and took a boat out to the ocean to go scuba diving in our own personal subs. We spent about a half hour under the water. I got to see a shark while we were under. Then when we were all out of the water our guide played with the sharks right off the back of the boat, throwing them a fish..it was so up close and cool! The next 2 days we spent at Atlantis. They have many great slides (for tubes and without) as well as a rapids lazy river, a lagoon we were able to snorkel in and beach to enjoy. Actually the winds were so bad the beach was closed to go in so we just sat or walked looking for shells. It also rained the one day so we continued to ride the slides till we were to cold to continue. Most days we went to little shops they had in and around Atlantis. We also found 2 favorite (not to expensive) places to eat - Quiznos and Jonny Rockets. My parents and siblings watched the boys, they also had a busy weekend of going to watch the play, ANNIE, a Christmas banquet, and cantata at church. I loved this gift it was so nice to spend this special time with Mike, and the fact it was on a warm island made it even better.
