WAKE UP!

Well nothing quite wakes you up as well as someone pounding at your door before 6 in the morning. Mike has been having coughing fits in the night this week so he had moved to the other bedroom Monday night. I was in dream land when I heard the banging. I woke up and looked out the front door, but didn't see anything however I knew the banging was coming from someone outside, trying to get in. I called for Mike (because he is the man and he would know better who goes here to Faith..thus a familiar face and does not). Mike went out to garage as the man was pounding on the door to the garage and gathered that the man was drunk but thought he knew who lived at this house and wanted us to let him in. It was pouring down the rain, so that may have had something to do with why he wanted in so badly but there was no way that was happening, I was shaking. Mike asked him to come to the front door, where there is a light, so we could see his face, he did and still no recognition. He asked Mike to drive him home (although he gave several different locations) for money that he was holding up to the window. Mike called 9 1 1 as Mike refused his offer, but the man was not leaving. Abe woke up and I took him back to his room to put him back room and keep watch back there in case the man tried to come through a window. He left just before the police arrived and although he used his search light, he didn't find them. Needless to say its hard to go back to sleep after that so we continued about our day. There is a runoff pond off the parking lot and I thought I saw a car in it, Mike disagreed thinking it was just the water's reflection. But as we went to watch the Volleyball game, we saw indeed it was a van stuck down in the pond. Which explains, why the guy ended up at our house. So we had police here again last night, towing the truck out. Today Mike had to identify his photo. I guess he is claiming he was out of town when all this happened. Anyway I am just so thankful we had everything locked up and God protected us. I am still a little paranoid keeping the house even locked up and shut up during the day.
