Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

22 months
My little Abey Baby is growing up so fast. This week he reached the 22 month mark....I have an almost 2 year old on my hands now. It is obvious in his will-full stubbornness. Although I enjoy parts of this stage because it is so exciting to see him learn and start saying more and more words, I must admit this is also my least favorite age. I struggle hard with consistent correction and finding the energy to keep up with my always on the go, hardly fearful, little boy who is not a baby any more. This week he has fallen more times then I can count. At the beach he has had no fear, doing a few face plants in the sand (I think even purpose so then he could run down to the water to get washed off). It is fun but so much work. On the hard days I look at his to die for smile and his really blond hair. I love him and I know the Lord has created him fearfully and wonderfully. If I will train him in the ways of the Lord I know God will use him in a great way in the future.

ADORABLE! I'm right there with you... such a crucial age for discipline- keep going!!! It's such hard work to train these children. stay strong and be consistent. we can encourage each other. we ALL need it! yeah, it definitely takes tons of energy, doesn't it?!
Aw, I agree. Sometimes I think back over my day and wonder, "I worked ALL day long. I don't even remember sitting down for a break, and WHAT DID I GET DONE?" (other than chasing the kids around, trying to keep peace btn the brothers and keep some semblance of order on the premises.) When I was a teen, I remember my mom speaking to a first time, young mom telling her that if all she gets done in a day is to hold, love, dress, feed and take care of her baby, her job has been done. So for a 2yr old...or a 5 year old...or a 7 year old, etc. etc. etc. It's just all those things are a bit more EXPLOSIVE in each phase.....and they're impossible to cuddle when they are throwing their temper. SO........all that to say, I hear ya.....and I'm trying to gain all the wisdom I can from a fellow mom of 3 boys!!! :)
