Relationship Seminar

Here are some of the neat things I learned last week..or at least was reminded of: Regarding Life - We are to live for the future and keep an eternal perspective on things. To be settled that nothing can separate me from God's love. God does things "for us" not "to us" - 2 Cor 4:15. Regarding Family - God desires we produce a godly seed (Mal 2:15). God uses the family as a picture in the Bible to teach many important truths, so our families need to be the right kind. Make your husband happy, God will make him hold. No one can spoil a strong man's goods unless he first binds the strong man (Matt 12:29). I need to pray for my children every day. My goals as a godly women should be to 1)Enhance the image of my husband, 2)Encourage good atmosphere at home and 3)Establish a good personal testimony. I am to Keep the way of the Lord and Train my children so they will be drawn to Christ - show them the love, joy and peace of God in my life.
I certainly missed my boys and shed a few tears over them but it was a really great week with the Griffiths from Biblical Family Ministries and the other 7 missionaries who were there. I especially enjoyed the time with Mike. We had a great host family and got to see the Baptist World headquarters and meet many of the staff there.
Laura came home to help my parents with the Valentines Banquet and ended up staying the whole week to help with the boys. I know the boys had a great time, their favorite day is when they went to Valley Worlds of Fun. They also got to go sledding one morning. I'm thankful my parents were able and willing to watch my boys, I know they were in good care. Still not sure how I am going to handle the 2 weeks away from them while we are in NZ next month, but looking forward and getting excited about it.
Didn't see many rolling hills in Alabama, we did see some gorgeous horse farms and a cool castle though.
