Moving In

It took us only 2 hours to get our large moving truck packed and on the road, because of all the church help we received. Mike took Abe in the moving truck so he could attend to him easier while I had the boys in the van. We did most of our driving the 30th and got to the hotel in NC around 8:30 PM – that is 10 hours later. Most of the trip was fine although Abe was quite grumpy toward the end (mostly because he caught the cold/flu on Christmas and was still struggling) and we did run into the heaviest traffic after dark. Driving is one of those things I do not really care for so my heart was racing a little. The next day we only had to drive about 4 hours. We arrived in cold and very windy West Virginia in the afternoon and managed to unpack about half of the truck before we headed off for the evening service. We even stayed up to ring in the New Year, Brodwater style, with pots and pans banging.
Now it’s 2 weeks later and I’m finally getting around to posting – we bought new paint (green), kitchen faucet, curtains, wires to allow me to keep my stove, and a few other odds and ends to fix the house up. We are mostly unpacked and getting settled. My parents live a few yards up the hill so we spend time there everyday visiting with them. My two grandmas also live here. We have been able to see all my siblings since we have arrived and are just finishing our vacation mode and transitioning into back to school and schedules.
