What a blessing it was to take our boys with us to camp this year. The Wilds has always had such a special place in my heart and it was so neat to share it with the boys. The last week of teen camp is always smaller so they do a family camp along with it. I had 3 sisters working there this summer - Laura and Holly as nurses and Whitney as a counselor. My brother Will was also there this past week as a teen camper. It was nice to spend some extra time with them as well. Dr Jim Binney was our speaker for family camp and I was really challenged to not rush my time with God and really focus on the eternal things of life that cannot be taken away. It is so easy to drift into business, but we must choose to take time to worship. This is also important so we can love God with all our mind...to do that we must know truth and believe it. I was also cahallenged in my faithfulness and thankfulness. When we are thankful it shows we believe God is in control and that we trust what He is doing.
I did pretty good for being in my 35th week of this pregnancy. The baby gave my sisters some big shows moving all over the place several nights. It was really nice to spend some time with them. My sister Holly actually is leaving for Cameroon, Africa - the same day our baby is born- to help a medical mission family in teaching their kids. In the evenings at camp we had some fun activities such as a carnival, sheepdog demonstration as well as a visit from Patch the Pirate. Caleb was too young to do a few of the activities but did do the super slide - 3 times! His other favorite thing were the water guns. Mike actually hurt his hand going down the Water slide. He goes Wednesday to the Doctors to find out if it is broken.
