Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

6 Weeks left
I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by. 42 days till my c-section! After all the company left we felt like we could start changing our guest room into primarily the baby's room so this weekend I brought in the crib and changing table and cleaned them up, Mike put them together and we took out the guest bed. The ladies at church are throwing me a shower but with the busy month ahead there weren't many dates available. August 5th worked best so I registered this weekend too - thankfully both Babies R Us and Wal-mart let you register on-line. We finished up our application and sent it in to Baptist World Mission. Also this past week I was working on getting the craft portion of VBS ready. I order from Oriental Trading company for their price and individual packaging but I do them all ahead of time to see if I need any extra supplies and the difficulty level of them.
That brings me up to this week. We started VBS last night with a total of 20 kids. The number is down from last year but I was encouraged that our neighbor's son came out. We are doing the Dino detective theme. I'm feeling a little queasy this morning but hoping it is just all the baby movement. Mike called me an hour ago and told me the van's transmission is acting up again. Right after we bought it we had problems and they discovered it was a program error. It's been fine since but it is something you could pray about for us - cost and it is our only vehicle at this time.
After VBS we have one week off before we head to the Wilds Christian Camp with a van load of teens. This year we chose to go to the Family camp/Teen week so we could take our kids along. I'm really looking forward to it although I know it will be a challenge with being 8 mo pregnant. I have 3 sisters working there this summer and am looking forward to seeing them too. Then once we get back from camp Caleb starts preschool that Wednesday. This is how summer's are for Youth Pastor's - It's busy, fun busy. Please keep us in prayer.
*VBS - attendance, kids salvations, health, energy
*Van - inexpensive fix
*Teen camp

I love the comic strip! I can totally identify with the desire to sit around eating ice cream, but thus far I've been able to hold off...well, hold off on eating as much as I want, anyway! ;-) I'll be praying for your VBS, van, and teen camp!!
Wow, only six weeks left. That is so exciting. It's always nice to have a shower thrown to get some new things for the baby.
Hope your VBS goes well. We start ours next week.
