So how do you spend your Saturdays?

We love Saturdays! About 2 out of 4 Saturdays of the month we have church activities in the morning so we really treasure when we don't and try to do something fun as a family...our favorites (if you haven't noticed) is the park, zoo, and chuck e cheese. Now that it is May here in Fl the zoo's splash ground is open for the kids. It was at least 85 degrees today so we went over to play in the water. They also had water safety booths set up all over so the kids got tops, stuffed animals, sunglasses, and coloring books. I had a horrible time with one of my contacts the whole time we were there so it wasn't as enjoyable for me but I love to see the kids enjoying the outside activities. When we got back we cleaned out our garage sale items to an empty room at the school. Also this week we have spent a lot of time in our backyard...notice the cleaned up fence. 2 guys from church came over and did that for us for free. The boys are growing leaps and bounds and although we have definitely have had our struggles this week I love them so much! So what family activities do you like to participate in?

Right now we don't do much on Saturdays since we're homebound due to Clive's naps. We enjoy being lazy and wearing our jammies most of the morning though!

I know. Saturdays aren't exactly a "day off" in a pastor's family, but we really enjoyed a long restful needed Saturday family day yesterday. It was refreshing. We didn't go anywhere or do anything!

When JA isn't doing last minute preps for Sunday, we usually try to get the kids outside and do some work around the house (yard work, gardening, or painting).

We have the same situation with Saturdays since we work so much with the youth and are involved with other church activities, too. When we do have a family Saturday, we will typically hit some garage sales in the mornings and spend the afternoon doing home improvements or something equally low key. Sometimes we watch a video in the evenings after Aaron goes to sleep.
