Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

Taking a van to a volcano for a vacation sounds like a very valiant venture
Well our van has been in the shop all week so no van trips this week. Caleb successfully ate vegetables 3 times this week. It's been quite a battle with him even making himself throw up at the thought of eating them in the past. This week was a only 4 days since we finished up U on Monday. Tuesday we read all about vacations - reminisced about our wonderful time in Atlanta and got reports back from parents vacation to the Caribbean. We read about the 10 virgins who needed to be ready when the Bridegroom comes. Wednesday we had our vegetable day - even coloring Bob and Larry. Our Bible story was about Nabol's vineyard. We read a funny poem called "Pleading Peas" - "Peas are piled on a plate, feeling in a wretched state, say with peas, with a sneeze 'We are cold, eat us please!'" Thursday we had Valentines day again. We read the story from Max Lucado - "Because I Love You" as well as several others. Then today was our miscellaneous day - we learned about vets, volcano's, and vinegar. Then we tried to make a volcano, it was my first and didn't realize the dirt would absorb the liquid so much. We tried again with a cup in the middle - it worked better but no BOMB like the boys wanted. Mike showed the boys some real volcano's online tonight though. We also read about Paul's perilous voyage. Our verse this week was John 16:23 "Verily, verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it you." We also sang Victory in Jesus every day. Caleb also got a new patch on his vest for saying his next group of verses! Maybe we'll do some volleyball at the park tomorrow :)

Carrie, it's been a while since I got a chance to comment here, but I have to say I am so impressed with how you're doing with the homeschool stuff with Caleb!!! I tried to start up last fall with Sam, but between pregnancy tiredness and my own laziness, we ended up slacking off. I definitely plan to try again next fall and I will be coming back here for inspiration. :) Do you plan to homeschool all the way through or are you just wanting to prepare him for when he goes to school? Just curious--wasn't sure if your church had a school or not. Anyway, I love your creative ideas and it sounds like Caleb does, too. :)
Also, congratulations on your new little one on the way!! Seems like almost everyone I know is pregnant or recently had a baby. :) Very exciting. I love the way you announced the news with the Mad Gabs, too. Hope all is going well for you, that you're feeling good, and also that your van is working again soon. :) Take care!
Wow! That is a LOT of Vs!
