I don't know any Q songs, and I found few books but we did pretty well at filling up our time this week. I found an itsy bitsy craft book on letter Q we worked on most days, we made a construction paper quilt, played 20 questions, learned about quarters and acted out "The Queen of Hearts." Our verse was I Corinthians 16:13 "Quit you like men, be strong." All week we learned about Queen Ester. Caleb is doing better at picking out the beginning sounds of words instead of the end. We have some preschool books from Walgreen's we work through each week. After all the letter weeks I plan on using a hooked on phonics book/CD someone lent us.
Sunday is Caleb's birthday so tomorrow morning we are headed out to Chuck E Cheese, then to see rabbits at a friends house for our R week coming up. We'll have him open presents tomorrow night then Sunday night some of his friends are coming over after evening church for some games, food, and cake. We really wishes his good friends/cousins - Karis and Matt could come too but they live too far.

We wish we could be there too! Hopefully our card will make it on time. If not, it's on the way. Happy Birthday Caleb! Have a great time at Chuckie Cheese and with your friends on Sunday!
Sounds like a challenging school week! Wait till you get to X!!! That's great that he's already picking out the beginning sounds of words! I think you're doing a great job! Maybe the hooked on phonics will just re-enforce everything and make it all click! Thanks for keeping us posted! Hope you have a fun birthday weekend!
