If only school was that exciting! This has been a very long week, the time change really didn't help the kids. Plus Titus has had a runny nose the last two days with our sudden drop in temperature. If you have never heard Mr E's verses to songs it is a must have! I think I like it more than the kids. Anyway one of the songs was Caleb's verse for this week so we have been singing John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me." Even though it was a longer verse Caleb did well after singing it so often (he also quoted Jn 3:16 for clubs this week and got a new patch). The beginning couple days we studied the life of Joseph, then one day we did Jesus loves the children, and today John the Baptist. We started the day jumping rope and doing jumping jacks. We talked about the months of the year since so many start with J, and I found a cute book called "Jump into January." Tuesday we did jumping jacks again because this day was all about "Jack." Jack and the beanstalk, Jack and the animals, Jackalope, Sparrow Jack, Jack and Jill, Jack be nimble, and jack in the box. Wednesday is our new library day since the teacher changes. WE talked about jelly, jam and junk food - it was a fun day and we made jellyfish and ate Jell-O.

Thursday was our jingle and jazz day. We sang JOY (and Caleb didn't know it - how did we miss that one?) We also sang Jingle Bells - one of his favorites. We read a train book called "Jingle the Brass" and another neat one called "The Jester has lost his jingle." Today was really busy and we didn't do much but read books today. Our theme was Jungle, Jaguars, and Jokes. 3 year old jokes do not make any sense at all but he still makes me laugh. We also sang "Who's the king of the Jungle?" I have one more week before we take a Thanksgiving Break. I am really looking forward to being in WV with most of my family, my sister Laura will be on a medical missions trip in Cambodia but everyone else will be there. Tomorrow we have a couples conference with Rand Hummel so I've done quite a bit of baking today - hopefully I will give you an update this weekend but I might be taking a nap instead :)
