put your hands on your head and do the hokey pokey! (You are probably thinking WHAT? I've never heard that version, but this is what happens when you have a letter theme - everything you do during the week seems to run together to point out that letter). Crazy, I know. This week I had such an abundance of books on H that we ended up reading about 5-7 books a day and putting two themes for each day. Our verse this week was Ex 20:12 "Honour thy Father and they mother:" and we had plenty of opportunity to talk and reinforce what this meant this week. Our first day we talked about Hannah, the next 3 days Heaven and today I did a puppet show for him about a happy heart. Monday was animal day - hogs, hens, hounds, and hedgehogs. Our snack for the day (and week) was honey buns. Tuesday was going to be our Hawaiian day but it turned out to be Honey and Hands when I found bugs in my bread flour and couldn't make pizza, besides I didn't find any books about Hawaii. We made turkeys with our hand prints and they turned out so good I think we will do some more today or tomorrow. We also played Hide and Seek and sang the Hokey Pokey. Wednesday we talked about the difference between a house and a Home, sang home on the range and read a lot of neat stories on these topics including Hansel and Gretel.
Job 37:5-7 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

I just want to tell you how much I've enjoyed reading about your "Alphbet School"! You are so creative and have some great ideas! I may need to borrow some of them someday! Your kids are very lucky to have a mom like you that is for sure! Thank you for sharing your ideas and happenings. It looks like Caleb is having a great time learning and I'm sure he will one day treasure the memories you are making with him! Just wanted to tell you that!
I am truly amazed at your creativity and preparation with each letter! WOWZA! You should seriously think about opening a pre-school. And I can tell from Caleb's smiles that he's enjoying having his mommy for a teacher!
