A says Ahhh

Monday Caleb and I started "school" - Learning a letter a week (plus a lot more).
I was reading another blog and got the idea to start doing something - this was the website that got me started http://www.letteroftheweek.com/preschool_age_3.html and http://samsmommy.blogspot.com/ Anyway Caleb has been getting up before Titus by an hour to an hour and a half so that is the time we are using - We will do a letter a week so this week I've gathered 10 books - one about airplanes, one about Anna and the letter A, Apple pie, Curious George and the air balloon, zoo animals, armadillos and I can't remember the rest.
We have also done the ABC verses so this week All have sinned. . . then I've got songs, coloring pages poems, and a craft to do and this week the story of Adam and Eve/Attentiveness. Walgreens has some good priced preschool skill books so I also picked up some of those. Caleb loves all this so I just want to take advantage of that while he does. He can recognize his letters but only knows about 10 of their sounds (Leap Frog video is helpful) We have already done numbers up to 10 and I thought he did pretty well on writing - He can do his name and I (heart) U. The first day I thought I had at least an hour worth of stuff but it only lasted about 35 minutes. Also Monday we went to the zoo and took special note of the anteaters. Today we made 2 apple pies. The only thing I see now that I'm going to change for the next week is to have a theme each day so Monday should have been all about animals, today about apples and so on . . .If you have any other ideas please share and stay tuned for more learning fun!

Excellent! From being on the other side of things and having parents who were not helpful at home, you have just made my day! Great job Carrie!!

Wow, you sure are doing a lot of work! Hope it doesn't become a burden for you to keep up for all 26 letters!
