It's Mike's 28th birthday today - he says although he may look older he doesn't feel it (I certainly felt physically older this year!) It's nice having his birthday always fall around labor day so we can spread it out over the weekend. Yesterday we had Steak, red potatoes, and cheesecake. Today I made his favorite breakfast for him (a bowl of Wheaties) and we had a spaghetti dinner. We will probably go to Dairy Queen after church tonight. Tomorrow we are going to go to the zoo in the morning, have a BBQ tomorrow night and probably play some volleyball with some others from church.
Mike got a dress shirt and money from his parents while I decided on a wok for his birthday. He would be happy with anything and just having a normal day at home. I love Mike so much and each year I love him and appreciate him more. He is such a hard-working, faithful, dependable, jump in and lend a hand guy that is persuasive and funny at the same time. He is kind and respectful and can love anyone. I'm so glad he picked me and chased me and persisted to get me as his wife. He's a great husband and father.
