B is for...

This week Caleb and I learned all about the letter B. We did more of theme days this week. Monday we went to the zoo with Holly and Will but our books were about Bananas, and Letter B books. We also made a wordless book b/c we were learning about the Bible this week. Our verse was Acts 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Tuesday was Blue day we read about Paul Bunyan and his big blue ox as well as Blueberry mouse and little blue. Wednesday was bug day - Caleb only likes butterflies no other bugs but it was fun learning about them and painting papers then folding them in half to make a butterfly shape. Thursday was bear day and although I left for volleyball practice Mike made blueberry muffins (Caleb likes blueberry muffins as much as his mama - yummy!) after I had done a half hour with Caleb. Friday we did books about bedtime, we also reviewed what we learned about the Bible and talked about the character trait of boldness as well as singing "Bold as a Lion." He loved telling the wordless book pages over and over every day. It was a good week - next week is letter "C" There are a ton of words that start with C but they seemed to be scarce at the library.

P.S. I just added another picture on the A week post of the animal puppets we made last week

I've really enjoyed reading your posts about working on a letter a week! The themes sound great! I bet he's just soaking it all up. Enjoy!

Wow, I'm so impressed with all your hard work for these letter weeks! I think you need to start a preschool in your home. :) I agree with Beth, I bet your little guy is loving every minute of his "school" day! Keep up the great work!

By the way, one book that we like at the library is "C is for Coco". It's in the board book section at our library. Thought you could use that for your C week.

Hey Carrie, I hadn't checked your blog for a while, but I just spent some time catching up on your posts and I too am really impressed with how organized you are with the letters of the week and how much work you are putting into it!! I definitely need to take some inspiration from you!! :) We got off to a pretty good start, but I slacked off for the past couple weeks because I wasn't feeling that well. Hopefully we will get back into the swing of things, soon. Sam loves doing school . . . now Mommy just needs to get motivated! :) Take care!
