If you don't remember. . . Mike got me some acrylic painting supplies for Christmas. I really had only done some pencil drawing but I have art genes in my family so I really wanted to try more. My first two weren't real great but I did one last week (that I can't show on here b/c I am going to give it to a frequent reader) and another this week for my grandpa who may be only with us another year. He has always loved birds and so I came up with this picture for him. Don't tell him though I get to see him in August and will give it to him then! I think I'm much better at the detail pictures I've done in comparison to the first two landscape pictures. Got any new hobbies you picked up this summer?

Your painting is beautiful. All I can dreaw is a stick figure. As for a hobby I picked up this summer, I did start to sew this summer and am working on becoming a quilter (after I finish this first quilt).
That one turned out so well!!!! The hummingbird looks awesome! Great job, girl.
Sewing is becoming my newest passion. I took a break from it this week but I'm ansy to get sewing on a new project again! It feels so great to work with my hands and have some quiet time.
