Wilds 2007

We had such a great week at the Wilds, we are still tired but what great blessings we received. The hardest thing was being away from our boys but we were so glad they were in great hands and had a good time. We had 2 teens back out right before camp thankfully we were able to replace the girl with another. We took 12 teens and 3 junior campers (2 vans) We made pretty good time - 8hrs. It seemed like all week we were kept busy or catching up with the teens to see what they were up to. I also got to spend most afternoons with Mike and my sister Laura. we played Frisbee golf, super slide, tubing, went hiking to turtle rock, and enjoyed spending time with each other. We had beautiful weather. Thursday we had our time with the teens hearing about their week and decisions they had been making. Each one shared something the Lord was teaching them. We had several opportunities to talk one on one with a few of them as well. My most exciting thing was leading a girl to the Lord Wednesday night then when we returned to our room we had a message from our former pastor's son in NY - he was calling to tell us he got saved recently. How EXCITING! We also had several other opportunities to counsel after the evening services. We didn't get to spend much time with my sister Whitney but I did get to hug her almost every day. Our drive back was not as great (It was our 6 yr anniversary and we didn't get home till 6:30 - all day in separate vans, but we hope to celebrate another time) Thank you for praying and we request that you keep praying for the youth group to follow through with their decisions and continue to make good decisions. Also my mom, sister Holly and brother Will are at camp this week. The teens will be sharing with the church about the week next Sunday.
